Indian cricket team are currently playing the 5-match T20I series against West Indies in Trinidad. India is leading this series by 2-1 as two more matches to come in this series. After this series against West Indies, Indian cricket team will be heading to Zimbabwe for the three-match ODI series.
There won’t be any T20Is or Test match played between India and Zimbabwe. Just after these 3 ODIs against Zimbabwe, Asia Cup will begin. Asia Cup will begin this month from 27th August. India will be playing their first game of this season against their old rivals Pakistan on 28th August.
Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer predicted the Indian team’s top-order batters for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Wasim Jaffer also said that he wants to see former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli in the playing XI. Wasim Jaffer feels Virat Kohli will be playing at No. 3 and opening pair will be KL Rahul and skipper Rohit Sharma. Not only this Wasim Jaffer also thinks India chances of winning World Cup 2022 are very bright.
“Virat Kohli will remain in his original No. 3 place in the team. KL Rahul and Rohit should open. India’s chances of winning the World Cup are bright,” said Wasim Jaffer as reported by India Today.
