Wedding Bells! PV Sindhu To Tie Knot On December 22

PV Sindhu  recently won the Syed Modi International title to end a two-year-long title drought. She is the only badminton world champion India has ever produced and won back-to-back medals at the Olympics – a silver at Rio 2016 and bronze at Tokyo 2020.

Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu is set to begin a new chapter of her life. The badminton player will tie the nuptial knot in Udaipur, Rajasthan on December 22. 

The two-time Olympic medallist will get married to Hyderabad-based tech executive Venkata Datta Sai. 

The pre-wedding festivities will start from December 20. The formal reception will be held on December 24 in Hyderabad. This gives Sindhu the time to return to the international circuit in January.

“The two families knew each other but it was only a month ago that everything was finalised. This was the only possible window as her schedule will be hectic from January,” PV Ramana, Sindhu’s father, told PTI.

“So that is the reason the two families decided to have the marriage ceremony on December 22. She will start her training soon after as the next season is going to be important,” he added.

The 29-year-old is also building her very own sports academy named PV Sindhu Center for Badminton and Sports Excellence in Visakhapatnam.

Who is Venkata Datta Sai?

Venkata Datta Sai serves as an executive director at Posidex Technologies. He has earned a Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the Foundation of Liberal and Management Education where he started his academic journey.

Sai then pursued a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Flame University, graduating in 2018. He has got a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bangalore.

Datta Sai’s worked as a summer intern at JSW, and later as an in-house consultant. He also managed the JSW-owned Delhi Capitals, an Indian Premier League (IPL) team.

In 2019, he served as the Managing Director of Sour Apple Asset Management and as well as the Executive Director at Posidex Technologies.

At Posidex, he is tasked with transforming banking processes adopted by major banks.
