The Philadelphia Eagles are a professional American football team headquartered in Philadelphia. The Eagles are a team in the Football National Conference East Division. The squad plays its home games at Lincoln Financial Field in the South Sports Philadelphia Complex.

When a syndicate led by Bert Bell bought the rights to an NFL franchise in Philadelphia, the team was founded in 1933 to replace the defunct Frankford Yellow Jackets. The Eagles have made the playoffs 28 times since its inception, won 15 division titles, participated in four pre-merger NFL Championship Games and won three of them (1948, 1949, and 1960), and made three Super Bowl appearances, including Super Bowl LII after the 2017 season.

An American football club called the Green Bay Packers is situated in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers are a team in the National Conference Football (NFC) North division of the National Football League (NFL). With nine regular-season NFL championships and four Super Bowl victories, the Packers have won 13 league trophies, the most in NFL history. The Packers were the first NFL team to beat the American Football League (AFL) before the AFL-NFL merger, winning the first two Super Bowls in 1966 and 1967. The Packers’ first two Super Bowl appearances were under the leadership of Vince Lombardi, who is honoured with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

The Super Bowl Victories

The Packers’ first two Super Bowl appearances were under the leadership of Vince Lombardi, who is honoured with the Vince Lombardi Trophy. They have qualified for the playoffs 22 times since 1993, but just two of those appearances resulted in victories, one in 1997 that was lost, and the other in 1996 under head coach Mike Holmgren and head coach Mike McCarthy.

Additionally, considering regular season and postseason games, the Packers hold the best win-loss record (.571) and the most victories (804) in NFL history.  The Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Detroit Lions, who currently make up the NFL’s NFC North division, have long been rivals with the Packers (formerly known as the NFC Central Division). They have played more than 100 games versus each of those clubs throughout history, and only the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys have a positive overall record against all of them. One of the earliest rivalries in American professional sports history, the Bears-Packers rivalry dates back to 1921.

The Foundation of Green Bay

A 45-member board of directors elects a seven-person executive committee to lead Green Bay Packers, Inc. There are five paid members: the president, vice president, treasurer, secretary and three at-large members. Corporate management must be directed, substantial capital expenditures must be approved, general policy must be established, and management performance must be monitored. The Packers are typically represented at NFL owners’ meetings by the team’s elected president. Vince Lombardi typically represented the team during his tenure as coach in league meetings in his capacity as general manager, with the exception of owners-only gatherings where President Dominic Olejniczak attended.

In December 1986, the group established the Green Bay Packers Foundation. It supports a wide range of initiatives and programs that advance civic engagement, health care, human services, and youth-focused initiatives. At the team’s 1997 yearly stockholders meeting, the foundation was chosen as the recipient of any remaining assets in the event that the team was sold or dissolved rather than a Sullivan-Wallen Post soldiers’ monument.

The Eagles had the top-ranked running offense at the end of the season. Since the 1985 Chicago Bears and the 1949 Eagles club, it has been the top rushing offense in franchise history. They were defeated 31–15 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card game.
