Indian cricket team are up against West Indies in the first ODI of the series at Queen’s Park Oval cricket ground. After KL Rahul was ruled out from the first ODI due to COVID-19, there’s another bad news for Indian cricket team. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has sustained a knee injury and will be out of the squad for the 1st and 2nd ODI against West Indies.
India will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is against West Indies in this tour before going to Zimbabwe. Indian fans are hoping KL Rahul will be back in the team for the second and third ODI. Ravindra Jadeja’s inclusion in the third and the last ODI is still unclear.
Ravindra Jadeja played in the recent England’s tour, where India won the T20Is and ODI series. Jadeja had a decent performance in all the games he played there. There are all-rounders who can replace Ravindra Jadeja in the team. One of the prominent options is Axar Patel who has same attributes as Jadeja, left-handed batter and left-handed spin bowler.
Deepak Hooda can also bowl in between if required. Both of them (Deepak Hooda & Axar Patel) are playing in the first ODI against West Indies.
