Fans of Grand Theft Auto have been waiting for GTA 6 for many years. And now, with the official release date set for May 26, 2026, everyone wants to know how much content the game will offer. Some say the game might give more than 100 hours of gameplay – which sounds super exciting.

But is that even possible?

Let’s talk about what we know so far and see if GTA 6 can offer that much content.

Rockstar Games Always Goes Big

Rockstar Games, the creators of GTA, have a strong record of giving players huge games with a lot to do. Their last big title, Red Dead Redemption 2, had a full story, a massive open world, and many side missions.

According to HowLongToBeat.com:

Red Dead Redemption 2 (100% completion) = 188 hours

GTA 5 (100% completion) = 87 hours

So yes, Rockstar has already made games close to or more than 100 hours. This means GTA 6 can totally reach or cross that mark.

Why GTA 6 Might Be Even Bigger

GTA 6 is being set in Leonida, which looks like a massive map. And Rockstar has already shown us two trailers and screenshots, proving how advanced and detailed the game is.

Here’s what could make GTA 6 cross 100 hours:

  • A long main story
  • Tons of side missions
  • Collectables across the map
  • Hidden secrets and mini-games
  • New in-game apps, social media, and real-time systems
  • A detailed world where even small details matter

What About GTA 6 Online?

Don’t forget, GTA 6 will likely have GTA Online 2 or a new version of multiplayer. Just like GTA 5’s online mode kept fans busy for years, GTA 6 Online can do the same. With regular updates, new missions, and live events, this mode alone can give hundreds of extra hours.

Unique Additions We Can Expect

Let’s think of some extra things that Rockstar might add to make the game even more creative and long-lasting:

  • Character switching like GTA 5, but more advanced.
  • AI-based NPCs who react differently every time.
  • Dynamic weather & events that change gameplay.
  • Interactive interiors where you can explore buildings.
  • Customizable vehicles and weapons with deep upgrade options.
  • Live radio and news channels reacting to your in-game actions.
  • Mobile apps inside the game that give side quests, dating, hacking, etc.
