PV Sindhu’s Battle To Regain Top Form

PV Sindhu is facing numerous challenges in her journey to regain her top form after a series of losses in her 2025 campaign. Her last victory was at the Syed Modi International 2024, where she won the trophy by defeating Wu Luoyu of China. However, that was her last significant win as she began her 2025 season with disappointing losses and early exits.
She started her year with India Open, where she actually did well until she couldn’t and lost in the quarterfinals in three games. Then she lost in the Round of 32 in Indonesia Masters but this isn’t the worst. PV Sindhu faced a destructive early exit in the very first round in the All England Open against Kim Ga Eun, which also marked her fourth consecutive first-round exit at the tournament. Now, the Swiss Open is ongoing, and she lost in the first round again on 19 March 2025.
It is evident that she’s not in her usual form, and a major reason might be her hamstring injury sustained during training sessions ahead of the 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships, which also delayed her competitive run after her marriage. But despite these setbacks, she’s determined to improve her game and recover from her injury to enhance her performance, so let’s take a look at her future opportunities.
