The World Boxing Cup 2025 was held in the Brazilian city of Foz do Iguaçu from March 31 to April 6.
The tournament took place at the Rafain Palace Hotel and Convention arena and saw participation of pugilists from 19 countries including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, France, England, Germany, Guatemala, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Norway, Panama, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, the USA, Uzbekistan, and Wales.
This tournament was the first event of the 2025 calendar organised by World Boxing, setting the tone for the remainder of the season.
In the men’s medal tally, Uzbekistan topped the chart with seven medals, followed by India with six and Brazil with five.
In the women’s tally, Poland took the first spot with seven medals, followed by Italy at five, and Brazil and England tied for third with four each.
The next stage of the Boxing World Cup will be held in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, from June 30 to July 7.
