ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 Points Table: Pakistan started their ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 campaign on a high note, defeating South Africa in the first Test of their ongoing two-match series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on October 15. The win propelled the Men in Green to second place in the WTC standings, surpassing India and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan won the match by 93 runs. Chasing a target of 277, South Africa were bowled out for just 183 on the fourth day. Left-arm spinner Noman Ali was the standout performer, taking 10 wickets across both innings to secure the victory for Pakistan.

Pakistan Move to Second Place in ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 Points Table

The Shan Masood-led team earned 12 crucial points, moving to second place with 100 percent points. Australia also have a perfect record, winning all three of their Tests against the West Indies and earning 36 points.

Sri Lanka dropped to third place, while India slipped to fourth. The Shubman Gill-led Indian team recently defeated the West Indies by seven wickets in the second Test at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. They now have 52 points with a 61.90 percent points percentage.

South Africa, after losing to Pakistan, sit in seventh place with 0 points and a 0.00 PCT, while the West Indies remain at eighth, also with no points after losing all five of their matches in the current WTC cycle.

Second Test Set for Rawalpindi

The second Test of the series will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 20 to 24. A win for Pakistan will help them secure second place in the WTC points table. A draw would drop their points percentage from 100 to 66.67, while a loss would reduce it to 50, causing them to slip to fourth place.

South Africa’s Upcoming Tour of India

After the Pakistan series, South Africa will tour India for a two-match Test series. The series opener is scheduled at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on November 14, followed by the second Test at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati, starting November 22.
