The WPL 2026 points race saw some big changes after Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated UP Warriorz on Thursday. The Orange Cap and Purple Cap tables both had new movements, with fresh names rising and old leaders slipping down the list.
WPL 2026: Orange And Purple Cap
At the top of the run charts, Nat Sciver-Brunt continues to hold the Orange Cap. She has been the most steady batter this season and now leads the table with 319 runs from six matches. Her run includes the only century of this WPL season so far, which has given her a clear lead over the rest of the players.
The fight for second place, however, has taken a new turn. RCB captain Smriti Mandhana moved past Harmanpreet Kaur after scoring an unbeaten 54 in the win against UP Warriorz. Mandhana now has 290 runs from eight innings, while Harmanpreet stands in third place with 260 runs from seven innings.
UP Warriorz skipper Meg Lanning sits in fourth place with 248 runs. Just behind her is teammate Phoebe Litchfield, who scored 243 runs from six matches before leaving the tournament due to injury.
On the bowling side, the Purple Cap race has become even more exciting. Sophie Devine had reached the top earlier after picking up four wickets in a match against Delhi Capitals and becoming the first bowler to touch 15 wickets this season.
But now, Nadine de Klerk has taken the top spot. She also has 15 wickets, but her better economy and average put her ahead. Her four-wicket haul against UP Warriorz played a big role in pushing RCB straight into the final.
Delhi Capitals’ Nandani Sharma is close behind in third place with 14 wickets. RCB’s Lauren Bell, Mumbai Indians’ Amelia Kerr, and DC’s N Shree Charani are all tied next with 12 wickets each.
With the final stages of WPL 2026 coming closer, the battle for both caps is getting tighter. Every match now feels like it could change the leaderboard again, making the season even more exciting for fans to follow.
