The WPL Auction 2025 took place on Sunday, December 15, in Bengaluru. During the event, several players were sold as teams prepared for the next season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), which is set to start in February next year.

A total of 19 player slots were available in the auction, with 14 for Indian players and 5 for overseas players. The franchises had a total budget of INR 16.7 crore, and the auction concluded quickly, unlike the IPL 2025 auction, which lasted two days.

Simran Shaikh was the most expensive player in the WPL Auction 2025, bought by Gujarat Giants for INR 1.90 crore. The second-highest price was also paid to Gujarat Giants for Deandra Dottin, who was acquired for INR 1.70 crore.

G. Kamalini secured a big deal, joining Mumbai Indians for INR 1.60 crore. Indian player Prema Rawat was another high-priced player, picked by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for INR 1.20 crore.

Delhi Capitals Women signed three players: Nandini Kashyap, N. Charani, and Sarah Bryce, while Gujarat Giants also signed Deandra Dottin and Simran Shaikh.

Nadine de Klerk, G. Kamalini, and Sanskriti Gupta will be playing for Mumbai Indians, while Arushi Goel, Kranti Goud, and Alana King will represent UP Warriorz.
