WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event May 2025: Complete Breakdown of Announced Matches Till Now
WWE has given many successful editions till now after reviving its classic show Saturday Night’s Main Event in 2024. The event held on January 25, 2025 at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas was very popular among the fans. Now WWE is bringing this year’s second edition – Saturday Night’s Main Event May 2025, which will take place on May 24 from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
This event will come immediately after Backlash 2025, which took place on May 10 in St. Louis. In the main event of Backlash, John Cena successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship. Simultaneously, Dominik Mysterio and Lyra Valkyria retained their respective Intercontinental Titles. Gunther came back in winning ways and Jacob Fatu retained his U.S. Title by winning a fatal four-way match.
May SNME: Final Stop Before Money in the Bank
This May edition is a major buildup event for WWE’s next PLE, Money In the Bank 2025, which will take place on June 7 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
WWE has also advertised John Cena for the Tampa event, and there’s a chance he will make another title defense. But for now, the focus is on the matches that have already been officially announced.
Confirmed Matches for Saturday Night’s Main Event – May 2025
Jey Uso (c) vs Logan Paul – World Heavyweight Championship Match
Jey will enter the ring for his second title defense against Logan Paul. Previously, he had a match with Seth Rollins, in which Rollins won by DQ, but Jey retained his title.
Immediately after this, at the end of the show Logan Paul launched a brutal attack on Jey, where he put Jey on the ground with a dangerous hook. Tension had already built between the two after WrestleMania 41, and now finally this rivalry will be decided inside the ring in Tampa.
CM Punk & Sami Zayn vs Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker
Monday Night Raw on May 12 started with an intense brawl in which Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker initially took the upper hand. But the game changed when Sami Zayn entered, and after him, Jey also entered.
Now CM Punk and Sami Zayn will team up and enter the ring against the Trifecta of Terror, i.e., Rollins and Breaker. This tag team match can become a high-intensity showdown for the fans.
