Yograj Singh’s Bold Statement on Team India’s Future

Yograj Singh made these comments on the podcast Find A Way with former Punjab cricketer Taruwar Kohli. He promised that if he became the head coach of the Indian team, he would make it unbeatable using the same players.

“If you make me the coach of the Indian team, I will use these same players to transform it into a side that will be unbeatable for ages. Who will bring out their capabilities? Because people are always ready to throw them out of the team, drop Rohit Sharma or drop Kohli, but why?” Yograj asked.

“They are going through a rough patch, and I want to tell my kids that I am with you. I’ll tell them Let’s play Ranji Trophy, or I will make Rohit run 20 km. Nobody does that. These players are diamonds. You don’t throw them out. I will be like their father. I have never differentiated between Yuvraj and the others, not even Dhoni. But what is wrong is wrong,” Yograj said.

Rohit Sharma Set to Lead in England Despite Recent Struggles

Rohit is likely to lead the Indian team in England despite his recent struggles and Test series losses to New Zealand and Australia.

Some of India’s key players may join the A team, which will play two four-day matches against the England Lions in May-June to prepare for the five-match Test series.

India will begin their 45-day tour of England with the first Test at Headingley on June 20, aiming for their first away series win there in 18 years.

Currently, all key Indian players are with their IPL teams, with the knockout matches scheduled for May 20, 21, and 23, followed by the final on May 25.
