KL Rahul scored his first T20I century when he was 24 years and 131 days old. It happened in 2016, during a match against West Indies in Lauderhill. India was chasing a huge total of 246 runs to win. Rahul played a fantastic knock, scoring 110 not out from just 51 balls. His innings included 12 fours and five sixes. He reached his hundred in just 46 balls. Despite Rahul’s brilliant effort, India lost the game by just one run, finishing at 244/4.

Suresh Raina was the first Indian player to score a T20I century. He achieved this in the 2010 T20 World Cup against South Africa in Gros Islet. Raina made a century in 59 balls and scored 101 from 60 balls. His knock had nine fours and five sixes. At the time, Raina was 23 years and 156 days old. His brilliant century helped India win the game by 14 runs. Raina’s hundred remains the only century scored by an Indian in the T20 World Cup.

3. Shubman Gill – 23 years, 146 days (vs New Zealand, 2023)

Shubman Gill scored his first T20I century against New Zealand in January 2023. The match was held in Ahmedabad, a place where Gill has done well before. Gill made an unbeaten 126 from 63 balls, including 12 fours and seven sixes. He reached his hundred in just 54 balls. At the time, Gill was 23 years and 146 days old. India scored 234/4 and bowled out New Zealand for just 66 runs, winning the match by a huge margin of 168 runs.

2. N Tilak Varma – 22 Years, 5 Days (vs South Africa, 2024)

N Tilak Varma became the second youngest Indian to score a T20I century on November 13, 2024. He achieved this feat at just 22 years and 5 days old during a match against South Africa. Varma played a superb innings, scoring an unbeaten 107 from 56 balls. His knock included eight fours and seven sixes. He followed the footsteps of his idol, Suresh Raina, who was the first Indian to score a century in T20Is.

Jaiswal, at the age of 21 years and 279 days, scored 100 runs off just 49 balls. His century came in 48 balls and included eight fours and seven sixes. India scored 202/4 in that match and won the game by 23 runs, as Nepal could only score 179/9. Jaiswal’s record-breaking performance has put him in the history books.
