Cricketer Zaheer Khan, born in India on October 8, 1978, represented his country in all formats of the sport from 2000 until 2014. His left-handed delivery speed is medium-fast. He was the second-most effective Indian fast bowler in Test cricket history, behind only Kapil Dev. With his ferocious seam and pace bowling, especially his lightning-fast, inch-perfect Yorkers, the young Zaheer Khan made a name for himself.

He is widely considered to be one of India’s best fast bowlers. In 2006, Zaheer Khan moved to England to play for Worcestershire to hone his bowling skills. Left-arm fast-medium bowlers are rare, but his ability to “move the ball both ways off the wicket and swing the old ball at some pace” set him apart. Zaheer Khan was a master of the old ball’s reverse swing.

Some of the best left-handed batters in the game, such as Graeme Smith, Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya, and Matthew Hayden, have all been dismissed by him more than ten times in international play. Zaheer Khan was honoured as a 2008 Wisden Cricketer of the Year. In October 2015, Zaheer Khan announced he was retiring from international cricket. As well as Worcestershire in County Cricket, he played for Mumbai, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils, and Mumbai Indians in Indian domestic cricket.
