For the unversed, the players who are going to participate in the Paris Olympics are expected to immediately adapt to the North American hard court season. Sabalenka, who had withdrawn from Wimbledon 2024 because of a shoulder injury, feels it will be difficult for her to adapt to the surface change as it would put too much pressure on her body.

2. Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) – The World No.4 withdrew on Thursday after the draw had been made. The star player has been suffering from acute bronchitis, because of which the doctors have advised her to not travel to Paris.

3. Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) – Another high-profile name to withdraw from the Paris Olympics 2024. Her decision to withdraw is the same as Sabalenka’s as she has also been managing a knee injury and adapting to hard courts which quickly could lead to an injury.

4. Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic) – Last year’s Wimbledon champion is not participating in the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024 because of a hand injury. She wanted to play doubles, however, because of the severity of the injury, that won’t be possible for her this time.

5. Madison Keys (United States) – Madison left everyone surprised with her decision to withdraw from the Paris Olympics 2024. She stated that she is being cautious after missing the start of this season with an injury.
