IND vs SA: Samson is the first Indian batsman to score a century in two consecutive T20I matches
Thanks to Sanju Samson‘s brilliant innings of 107 runs, India defeated South Africa by a huge margin of 61 runs. After winning the toss, Aiden Markram decided to bowl first, and Suryakumar Yadav and company displayed excellent batting and scored a huge score of 202 runs at the loss of eight wickets, in response to which the host team could score only 141 runs.

Sanju Samson scored a brilliant century in the last T20I match of the series played against Bangladesh and he was completely successful in taking that momentum to South Africa. After Abhishek Sharma’s wicket fell early, Samson had the responsibility of laying the foundation for a big score, and he did it very well. Sanju scored 107 runs in just 50 balls with the help of 10 skyscraper sixes and seven fours and led India towards a big score.
During this innings, Sanju shared a 66-run partnership with Suryakumar Yadav and a 77-run partnership with Tilak Verma, which was very important in this match. He is the first Indian and the fourth batsman in the world to have two T20I centuries.
India’s gear change which resulted in a huge total in IND vs SA
After the end of the powerplay in the first innings, India scored 56 runs at the loss of two wickets. After this, till the 15th over, India scored a total of 111 runs and lost only two wickets. From here onwards, the balance of the match tilted towards India. During these overs, Samson scored 72, Surya scored 21 and Tilak scored 33 runs. Also, two half-century partnerships were also made during this period.
After this, when South Africa was chasing, David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen getting out in the same over was a big blow for the host team. After losing three wickets in the powerplay, the African team was planning a counter attack. A partnership of 44 runs had also been made between Miller and Klaasen. It seemed that these two batsmen would do something amazing, but Varun Chakraborty took two wickets in the same over and completely turned the match in India’s favor.

What is the significance of this match?
Before this match, South Africa and India clashed in the final of the T20 World Cup. The host team had a good chance to recover from that defeat, but the Indian team full of youth did not give them an opportunity to do so. Apart from this, this form of Samson is a positive sign for the Indian team.
