Cole Palmer Shines As Chelsea Thrash PSG 3-0 To Win Club World Cup 2025: Well, it’s Cold in New York today. No Rain, No thunderstorm, only Cold Palmer occured today and what way to announce yourself. Palmer had been criticised for a long time to not been back to his amazing goal-scoring form but he is back. And back with a bang.
Chelsea was stacked against the odds by almost everyone.
PSG have been in such form, defeating the biggest teams this season and just outclassing every performance but this Chelsea team was something else.
How do you perform better than a high-pressing team like PSG? Just press them harder and make them work for every pass. Enzo Maresca came with a plan and his team was ready to execute every tiny detail of it.

The 1st half started with a aggressive press from Chelsea and Cole Palmer could have scored inside the first 5 minutes but missed a chance early on. The first 10 minutes, it was Chelsea who dominated the game but PSG came back in the game as the brilliant Vitinha started seeing more of the ball.

The 1st goal came in the 22nd minute when Malo Gusto ran with the ball from the right wing and passed it to Palmer who slotted in the ball with the most calm nerves on the pitch.
The second goal also came in the same manner, Chelsea broke through a counter-attack and Palmer ran through the mid-field and then inside the penalty area deceiving every PSG player with his trickery and finished another similar goal past Donnarumma.
The third goal came in the 43rd minute Joao Pedro displayed his inner Cole Palmer and dinked the ball past Donnarumma over his head. Palmer was again involved as he got the assist for the goal.
PSG looked confused as they had not prepared for this Cole Palmer test.
The 2nd half started with the same energy with PSG looking better on the ball but Chelsea were up for it. The 2nd half did not produce any more goals but it was high on entertainment as with each passing minute and every successful pass, PSG players grew irritated and started to produce aggressive challenges.
In the 86th minute, Joao Neves received a Yellow Card for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair which was later turned into a red card when the VAR intervened.
The game finished 3-0 and Chelsea were crowned as the World Champions 2025.
