SCO vs NEP: Both teams will look to put their best foot forward in an attempt to win the game and finish the tournament on a high

Scotland and Nepal will face each other in the 33rd match of the tenth edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Both sides have already been eliminated as far as their fate in the tournament is concerned, and will play for pride, with the end goal being finishing the competition with a win.

If we talk about the form of Scotland and Nepal, Scotland is in a slightly better position with one win in the 20-team tournament that they registered in theirsecond group game against Italy at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, while their opponent Nepal began well by running England close but failed to chase ten runs in the last over. Things have gone downhill since that game, and the Rohit Paudel-led side has been outplayed in the last two matches against Italy and the West Indies, respectively.

Having said that, Nepal might be a little ahead in this particular contest due to their familiarity with the conditions.

SCO vs NEP: Captains’ Opinion

Rohit Paudel, the captain of Nepal, said that they will be fielding first as there is expected to be something in the pitch for the first four to five overs, and they would like to make the most of it. Paudel was of the opinion that the team that is able to negotiate the first few overs will be able to dictate the game.

Paudel admitted that they will have to do well in the batting department, as they did against England, to increase their chances of winning.

Richie Berrington, the Scottish captain, said that they would have bowled first as well. He also admitted that they will have to adapt quickly, with this being their first game at this venue.

SCO vs NEP: Pitch Report and Conditions

The pitch at the Wankhedee Stadium is expected to play in the same manner as it has in this tournament, meaning that the spinners should get a lot of assistance with the surface being a bit tacky, and the batters will have their task cut out in all three phases of the game.

Scotland, the team that is batting first in this contest, should look to score 170-180 runs and back the bowlers to get the maximum purchase out of the wicket.
