Hockey fans in India finally have something to look forward to this March. Ticket sales for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers are now live, with Hyderabad set to host a week of international action.

The tournament will take place from March 8 to March 14, 2026, at the G.M.C. Balayogi Hockey Ground, one of the country’s key venues for the sport. And unlike many major events, the focus this time is clearly on accessibility.

What are the Prices of FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers Tickets?

One of the biggest takeaways is how reasonably priced the tickets are. Hockey India has kept pricing deliberately low to encourage turnout from all sections of fans:

  • East Stand: Rs. 100
  • North Stand: Rs. 50
  • South Stand: Rs. 25

This kind of pricing is rare for an international tournament, and it signals an effort to bring more people into the stadium, especially students and families who usually skip live matches due to cost.

What the Tournament Is About

This qualification event is more than just a bunch of games.

These matches will determine which teams qualify for the main FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands later this year.

The eight teams competing in this tournament are India, England, Scotland, Korea, Italy, Uruguay, Wales, and Austria.

Each team has been divided into two groups for the group stage. Because they are hosting the tournament, India will compete against Scotland, Uruguay, and Wales for a spot in the next round.

Dilip Tirkey and Shri Bhola Nath Singh On the Qualifiers

Talking about the occasion, Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey said, “We warmly welcome all hockey fans to Hyderabad for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers, Hyderabad, Telangana. We are confident that supporters will turn up in numbers and fill the stands at the G.M.C. Balayogi Hockey Ground to cheer for India and the other nations. Hosting this prestigious tournament is a proud moment for Indian hockey, and I invite everyone to come to the stadium, support the players and be part of what promises to be an exciting week of international hockey.”

Along with him, Hockey India Secretary General Shri Bhola Nath Singh also said, “This is a wonderful opportunity for fans in Hyderabad to witness high-quality international hockey. With affordable ticket prices, we want to ensure that families, students, and young aspiring players can experience the thrill of live matches. We are working tirelessly to deliver a smooth and memorable event for players and spectators alike.”
