Updated IPL 2026 Orange Cap And Purple Cap List: The 24th game of the IPL 2026 season saw the contesting of two highly talented teams, that is, five-time champions Mumbai Indians versus Punjab Kings. Punjab Kings won the match decisively by winning with a margin of 7 wickets in 16.3 overs.
Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to field first, keeping the same playing XI. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians had to make two changes because of injuries and illness.
Punjab Kings Chase: Iyer and Prabhsimran Dominat
The Punjab Kings’ openers, Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya, started the game in fast fashion despite the early loss of their wickets of Priyansh and Cooper Connolly.
The captain, Shreyas Iyer, played a brilliant innings and scored 66 runs in just 35 deliveries. This was Iyer’s third fifty in succession during the current IPL season. Prabhsimran Singh played an inning of class and ended up undefeated at 80 runs.
