1. Emma Raducanu

Emma Raducanu, who was all set to feature in the women’s singles main draw at the 2026 Italian Open, withdrew from the tournament at the last minute due to a viral illness. The 23-year-old rose to global fame after winning the US Open as a qualifier.
2. Jack Draper

Jack Draper impressed many with his performances on clay last year, but the 2026 season once again brought injury concerns for the British star. Draper suffered a setback in Barcelona, where he retired midway through his match against Tomás Martín Etcheverry. Following the injury, he withdrew from the ATP 500 event, the Madrid Open, as well as the Italian Open in Rome, citing an aggravated tendon issue in his right knee.
3. Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz, cwho currently ranks World No. 2 in the ATP singles rankings and the defending men’s singles champion in Rome, suffered a right wrist injury during the Barcelona Open. The setback forced the seven-time Grand Slam winner to withdraw from both the Barcelona Open and the Madrid Open. Alcaraz later confirmed that he would also miss the Italian Open and French Open to focus on his recovery.
4. Taylor Fritz

Taylor Fritz sustained a right knee tendonitis since the beginning of the 2026 season. However, Kostyuk later announced her withdrawal from Rome due to ankle and hip injuries.
