Fastest Fifty In Women’s T20Is: During the 3rd PAK vs ZIM game of the Women’s T20I between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at Karachi, Fatima Sana became the fastest woman to score fifty runs, breaking the previous record set by Devine, Litchfield and Ghosh.

She achieved the record in only 15 balls, surpassing the previous record of 18 balls by each player.  Pakistan women won the 3rd T20i by 133 runs by managing to get the Zimbabwe team all out at just 90.

PAK vs ZIM: Historic Knock Powers Pakistan to Massive Total

Pakistan was already in a great position at the score of 152 runs for four wickets after 17 overs of the final T20 match against Zimbabwe on Friday when Fatima Sana made her appearance on the pitch. What she proceeded to do over the next 24 balls with her power hitting shifted the entire pace of the match dramatically.

On her first ball against Michelle Mavunga, Sana got off to a flying start by smacking the ball to the boundary. Then from there, she took it to another level with her assault against Zimbabwe’s bowling attack particularly when she hit four straight boundaries off Kudzai Chigora.

In the 19th over against Nomvelo Sibanda, Sana Mir, the captain of Pakistan, smashed four boundaries (4, 4, 6, 6, 4) for a total of 24 runs. As a result of this explosion, she had a total of 48 runs in 14 balls at the end of the over.

Sana achieved this historic achievement in the last over by running two off Zimunu, who was the bowler for the last over, completing her fifty in 15 balls the fastest-ever fifty in Women’s T20I history.

Fatima Sana Finishes Unbeaten on 62 off 19 Balls

The explosive innings continued past 50 runs with Sana remaining not out at 62 runs off 19 balls where she hit 10 fours and 2 sixes. Following Sana’s outstanding strike rate helped to propel Pakistan to their second-highest total (223/4) in Women’s T20Is.

Her partner at the other end, Saira Jabeen, also put forth an impressive effort by scoring 50 runs off 32 balls without losing her wicket, putting together an incredibly destructive partnership during which time Zimbabwe’s bowlers were unable to contain Pakistan at the end of the innings.

Fastest Fifty in Women’s T20 Cricket

Fatima Sana earned her fastest women’s T20 fifty with just 15 balls, equaling the record for fastest-half century in all formats with an official data archive. The previous two players to accomplish this feat were Marie Kelly (Warwickshire) in 2022 and Laura Harris (Otago) in 2025.
