South Korea has officially revealed its national League of Legends roster for the Asian Games 2026, and fans are already calling it one of the strongest lineups ever built for the event.

According to recent reports, the roster was selected by KeSPA after reviewing player performances from the ongoing LCK season. The team includes some of the biggest names in competitive League of Legends, including legendary mid laner Faker.

The final approval for the squad is expected to happen in June, but the announced lineup is already creating huge excitement across the esports community.

Full South Korea League of Legends Roster

South Korea has selected six players and one coach for the upcoming Asian Games competition.

Here is the complete roster:

Role Player Team
Top Lane Choi “Zeus” Woo-je Hanwha Life Esports
Jungler Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu Gen.G
Mid Lane Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo Hanwha Life Esports
Mid Lane Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok T1
ADC Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung Hanwha Life Esports
Support Ryu “Keria” Min-seok T1
Coach Kang “Hirai” Dong-hoon No active team

The squad features players from three different LCK organizations, with Hanwha Life Esports contributing the highest number of players.

Faker Returns For Another Asian Games

One of the biggest talking points is the return of Faker to the South Korean national team.

This will be his third Asian Games appearance. The legendary T1 superstar previously won a silver medal in 2018 before finally securing gold in 2023. Now, he has another chance to defend South Korea’s dominance on the international stage.

Even after many years at the top level, Faker continues to remain one of the most respected and feared players in esports history. His experience could become a major advantage for the team during high-pressure matches.

Fans are also excited to see the famous Gumayusi-Keria bot lane duo reunite once again. The pair has already delivered incredible performances together in international tournaments before.

Hanwha Life Esports Dominates The Selection

Hanwha Life Esports currently sits near the top of the LCK standings, and their strong performances clearly influenced the final selection.

Zeus, Zeka, and Gumayusi were all chosen after consistently performing at a high level during the season. Their teamwork and current form could help South Korea stay ahead of other powerful regions in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Canyon’s inclusion also strengthens the roster heavily. The Gen.G jungler remains one of the smartest and most experienced players in professional League of Legends.

Interestingly, four members connected to T1’s world championship-winning era are now part of this lineup: Zeus, Faker, Gumayusi, and Keria.

Surprise Coaching Decision Gets Attention

The coaching choice also surprised many fans.

Kang “Hirai” Dong-hoon was selected as coach despite currently not being attached to any active esports organization. His last major role was with KT Rolster back in 2024.

Even though he has been inactive recently, KeSPA appears to trust his experience and leadership skills for such a major international event.

Many fans believe the mix of veteran leadership and young star power makes this roster extremely balanced.

South Korea Looks Ready For Another Gold Medal Run

South Korea has always been one of the strongest countries in League of Legends esports, and this lineup once again proves that point.

The team combines world champions, experienced veterans, and players currently performing at the highest level in the LCK. On paper, it already looks like one of the favorites to win the Asian Games event later this year.

The League of Legends competition is scheduled for September, and fans around the world are already waiting to see how this superstar roster performs on the international stage.
