The first over conceded 16 runs, a great start by Lucknow and Josh Inglis. In the 15th over, Inglis attacked Shashank Singh with two boundaries, and Abdul Samad also smashed a six off Marco Jansen in the 16th over, taking LSG to 157/4 after 16 overs, with Josh Inglis on 71*(42)  and Abdul Samad on 8*(6).

LSG vs PBKS, the death overs phase started with Abdul Samad taking charge against Shashank Singh in the 17th over, smashing a six and a four, but PBKS got a big breakthrough as Josh Inglis got out after a brilliant innings of 72(44). In the 18th over, Marco Jansen kept things tight and also dismissed Mukul Choudhary, while Arjun Tendulkar came to the crease and scored his first runs of the season. 

Till the 19th over, Samad kept rotating the strike, but in the final over, he exploded against Arshdeep Singh, smashing 2 fours and a six, as 17 runs came from the over and LSG finished at 196/6, with Abdul Samad on 37*(20).
