Avani Lekhara is now the first Indian woman to get 2 Paralympics medals

Yes you heard it absolutely right! At the age of 19, shooter Avani Lekhara became the first Indian woman to win two Paralympic medals. 

On Friday, Avani Lekhara added one more medal to her kitty. She won a bronze medal in the 50m Rifle SH1 category. Adding to her gold, she now has 2 Paralympic medal. 

This is 19 year old Avani  Lekhara’s debut in the Paralympics 2020 games.

Talking of her performance, she said,” It was a tough final but I am happy to have made it into bronze. I could have done better than this. Is just what finals do to you.” 

She also added that she has worked really hard for achieving two medals. She had given her 100 percent in the last shot. 

Unfortunately, she had too many distractions. She says she needs to work harder and definitely will do better in the next time. 

Twitter and many people on this social networking site laud Avani for her performance. The nation is surely proud of her wonderful effort and valuable performance at the Paralympics 2020 games.

Congratulations and Wishing Avani Lekhara best of luck for her tournaments and competitions in the future! The 19 year old has a long way to go in competing!
