Unfortunately, the COVID-19 scare has taken to the India vs England test series. After Ravi Shastri tests positive for COVID-19, Bharat Arun, and R Sridhar- support staff members are COVID positive now.

It was learned that the support staff members will be in a 10-day quarantine period at least. The fifth and final Test is scheduled to start on September 10. All three members will miss the last test match.

It was also decided that Arun, Sri, and Nitin will have to undergo five-day isolation. But in any case, they were not traveling to Manchester for the final Test.

The BCCI has created a bio-bubble for the last test match. A bubble to bubble transfer will be made available for the players.

Now, Virat Kohli will keep in touch with the support staff members. In their absence, Vikram Rathour, batting coach is in charge of the team.

Thankfully, the Playing XI for the team were all negative and that’s why the match had taken place.

Amidst this, of course, everyone in the dressing room was tensed. The unfortunate news came in after Day 5 had begun. It will be interesting to see how team India plays today. Wishing a speedy recovery to the support staff members.
