Liverpool FC is in talks with Benfica for Darwin Nunez. The Premier League side wants a striker this summer as one of their best forwards Sadio Mane is leaving the club this summer. Darwin Nunez is the striker they (Liverpool) are looking to sign in this summer transfer window.

Darwin Nunez had a great last season with the Portuguese club Benfica. In the 41 games he played last season, he scored 33 goals and recorded 4 assists. Darwin is seducing so many big European clubs with his last season’s stats. Not only Liverpool but also Manchester United are behind the striker. Manchester United are in talks with Darwin Nunez’s agents (as per Fabrizio Romano).

‘Red Devils’ also want a striker badly as their former striker Edinson Cavani has left the club and the new manager Erik ten Hag has already identified the areas he wants to develop. It seems that Erik wants the Uruguayan striker (Darwin Nunez) and he would love to have him in his team.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool is more close to Darwin as they are already preparing an official bid to Benfica. It is expected that the club will offer around £80 million + add ons which will total £100 million for the Uruguayan striker.
