I received many offers but I only considered Real Madrid and Chelsea: Antonio Rudiger

Rudiger opens up on his transfer saga after he signed for the Champions League winner Real Madrid.

Antonio Rudiger talked about his transfer saga after he signed for the Champions League winner Real Madrid this summer. Real Madrid has signed German defender Antonio Rudiger on a four-year deal. The central defender moved to his dream club (Real Madrid) on a free transfer.

There wasn’t only Real Madrid who was interested in the German centre-back but there were too many big European clubs. Rudiger himself told ‘MARCA’ that many clubs were offering him, but he wanted only Real Madrid.

“I received many offers, but I only considered Real Madrid and Chelsea. Ancelotti has called me to tell me how happy him and the whole squad is that I’m joining them,” said Antonio Rudiger to ‘MARCA’ as tweeted by Fabrizio Romano.

Antonio Rudiger said that his new teammates were happy that the centre-back is joining them and will play at Santiago Bernabeu next season. He will be staying at the club till 2026, with no option to extend for further years. Thomas Tuchel loved the defender. Since Tuchel joined the club, he improved most of the Chelsea players and one of them was Antonio Rudiger. Rudiger gets to his prime form under Chelsea manager Tuchel only.
