Premier League club Manchester City’s midfielder Rodri signed a new 3-year contract extension with the club. Manchester City made this news official on Tuesday, 12th July. The club posted about this contract extension news on all their social media handles and also the club’s official website.

Rodri played with the club last season when City lifted the Premier League trophy. It was an amazing season for the Spanish midfielder. He generally plays in the deep area and can be called as ‘central defensive midfielder’. But the Spanish can also play as central midfielder when needed. Pep Guardiola used him amazingly in the club and he wanted Rodri to stay at the side for the longer period.

The contract extension is of three-years so that means Rodri will stay at the club till 2027 which was earlier 2024. Manchester City has done some good business in this summer transfer window so far as they have bought one of the prolific strikers in their squad named Erling Haaland who had an amazing stats playing for the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. Rodri is one of the important players for City and the Spanish will keep serving them until 2027.
