The faceoff match between Namibia and Netherlands at the T20 World Cup 2022 is likely to be held on 18th of October 2022 (15:00 pm onwards) at Kardinia Park Stadium, Geelong. Both Namibia and Netherlands will be facing Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates respectively, in their first face offs of the qualifier rounds.
Last year, the team managed to showcase their one of the most successful T20 World Cup campaigns, considering their previous records. However, they didn’t just make it among those Top 12 in 2021, but also achieved victory for three times at a stretch. As per reports, they defeated Netherlands, Scotland and Ireland.

Also, they are said to possess bowling options like Logan van Beek, Paul van Meekeren and Brandon Glover.
They are further considered to be composed of four extraordinary batsmen Tom Cooper, Bas de Leede, Stephan Myburgh and Vikramjit Singh. Their all-rounder options consisted of players like Colin Ackermann, Fred Klaassen, Max O’Dowd, Roelof van der Merwe, Shariz Ahmad, Teja Nidamanuru, Timm van der Gugten, and Tim Pringle.

Talking about the previous encounters between the two, Namibia managed to secure one of the top positions in last year’s T20 World Cup. Even after putting so much effort, Netherlands wasn’t successful enough in reaching the target, as a result Namibia won the match by six wickets and with one over to spare. Namibia managed to defeat Netherlands at the last concluded T20, but Netherlands holds the edge in overall T20I records after winning two games. Namibia also achieved a T20I victory against Netherlands, after they won over them in a match played in a quadrangular series in the year of 2013.
Considering previous performances, it is likely expected from the team of Namibia to beat Netherlands at the face off rounds. But the Netherlands team is equally expected to achieve the position by presenting their incredible skills and performance, which will help them win over Namibia in the qualifier rounds.
