  • Ball Tampering:

In 2001 when India played South Africa, Sachin was accused of ball tampering by the empire Mike Denness. Sachin Tendulkar was seen working on the seam of the ball, which gave an impression of tampering. He was cleaning the seam of the ball, which became evident from an inspection. As a part of this matter, Sachin Tendulkar forgot to inform the umpire about cleaning the seam which landed him in the controversy of ball tampering.

  • Declaring at 194:

As a part of this controversy, Sachin was seen unhappy with his captain Rahul Dravid. The reason was that he declared their innings in India vs. Pakistan match in Multan on the second day. This made Sachin unhappy because he was very close to making a double century and the captain did not think in favour of his teammate.  

  • Selling a Gifted Ferrari:

Another controversy linked to Sachin Tendulkar sparked when Michael Schumacher gifted a Ferrari to him. It caused a lot of stir as the government wanted to exempt 120 percent import duty imposed on the car. Further, it came in news that Sachin sold the Ferrari to a Gujarat-based businessman Jayesh Bhai in 2011.

  • Controversy with the Australian Team:

It is one of the most controversial sections In Sachin Tendulkar’s life which happened in 2008. In this controversy, Sachin remained neutral in a heated conversation between Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Symonds. As a part of the matter, Harbhajan racially abused Symonds and it was considered that he said “monkey” to him. Later on, Sachin changed his statement in favour of Harbhajan that he did not say monkey to him, and it was some other word that was heard wrong by Symonds.

  • Flag Controversy:

This controversy occurred in 2007, before the start of the World Cup. The Indian team was in Jamaica, and Indian High Commission invited the team for a function. At the function, Sachin Tendulkar cut a cake with the Indian flag imprinted on it. Such a derogatory action against the country flag was inappropriate as per Indian Law, and it landed him in a trouble.
