Chris Morris (36* off 18 balls) and Jaydev Unadkat (11* off 7) added a match-winning 46 runs for the 8th wicket to help Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Capitals by 3 wickets in a low-scoring contest at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. The Royals were in trouble when they lost David Miller (62 off 43) in the 16th over, still needing 44 off 25 balls, but Morris had other ideas. Electing to bowl, Jaydev Unadkat (3-15) and Mustafizur Rahman (2-29) helped Rajasthan Royals restrict Delhi Capitals to below-par 147/8.

“Had some hopes with Miller and Morris to come but to be really honest I thought that it was tough from there and I think the boys did really well to get over the line. It’s about reading the conditions. Was it a bit sticky to start with? Hard lengths and mixing up with the variations was the key. That’s also our strength – three left-farmers. They are slightly different from the others so we can use them in a different way. We had a chat with him, he was very confident and very clear (Sakariya). Can’t do much, was just praying inside. Always sit back and review my game. If I play that match again 100 times I would not take the single (on denying strike to Morris last time).” said Delhi Capitals skipper.
