Chennai Super Kings, known for their veteran experience in the league hasn’t been very impactful since the last season for many reasons, Punjab Kings has also not been very impressive, but both teams look to make it to the playoff this season, both teams have had quite a few head-to-head matches but CSK have always been successful in winning those.

Punjab won their first match with a narrow edge, as Sanju Samson’s hit didn’t cross the boundaries, they should now pay attention to their bowling attack and improve it. Punjab’s seamers can do a lot better than in the last match, Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith failed to deliver, while Murugan Ashwin also wasn’t any impressive, but Mohammad Shami and Arshdeep Singh held the fort strong and prevented batsmen from going big. Mayank Agarwal needs to step up with his batting for the team in order to post a good score on the board.

Chennai on the other hand went low on everything in their first match, their bowlers failed to find ground and contain batsmen from hitting big, their fielding didn’t work well, batsmen struggled to score against Delhi’s bowlers, apart from Suresh Raina’s half-century there was nothing that went well for Chennai, they also can’t completely rely on Raina for scoring, Dhoni expressed his concerns with bowlers performance, although there are no changes at the moment the players need to step up to the level and perform their best now.

Wankhede is known for being a scoring ground, and also a tedious pitch for the chasing team, only time will tell who will emerge out as the winner today.
