On the ten days of IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored a whopping 204 runs with the help of AB de Villiers’s destructive climax batting and Glenn Maxwell’s timely fifty in the powerplay that set the tone for the team.

Chasing a hefty total of 205, Kolkata Knight Riders opener Shubham Gill seemed to have come to the crease with only one intention; demolishing RCB’s bowling attack, from the beginning of the innings Gill went all out against Bengaluru’s bowler as he opened his run account with a boundary to Siraj, from then on, Gill was undoubtedly the most explosive batsmen on the pitch as he spared none of the bowlers, he smashed a boundary to open for Kyle Jamieson followed by two massive sixers to Jamieson’s short deliveries, for a moment it did seem like short balls and Shubham Gill are a “perfect match” with this furious performance Shubham Gill also completed his 1000 runs in IPL.

Shubham Gill was at 21 runs for just 8 balls with a strike rate of 233.33, but Kyle Jamieson dismissed him the very next ball as Gill tried to loft the ball towards mid-on, fielder Christian Sub was quick enough to run and dive to his right to take an impressive catch as he looked to be parallel to the ground sending furious Shubham Gill back to the Pavillion.

Dan Christian’s amazing running dive catch.
