Chasing a mammoth 221, Kolkata Knight Riders fell agonizingly short in a nail-biter as Chennai Super Kings registered an 18-run win in Mumbai.
CSK star seamer Shardul Thakur was one of the most expensive bowlers in this nail-biting clash. Shardul gives 48 runs in 3.1overs with an economic rate of more than 15 runs per over. Shardul Thakur also gives many extra runs in this match and due to this CSK fans are very unhappy with the bowling and mindset of Shardul. So let’s that how Twitter reacts to this happening:
#ShardulThakur – can't bowl, can't bat, can't field. Came into @ChennaiIPL through reservation?

#ShardulThakur has the unmatched ability to turn any invincible situation to a losing one. The bloke can't even control his line, with his military medium. Why is he still in the squad?#CSKvKKR

So the equation basically comes down to 20 off 6 balls. Or in the world of #ShardulThakur – 12 off 6 balls (including 8 wides). #IPL2021 #CSKvsKKR

Meanwhile, Andre Russell scored a half-century off 21 balls but was bowled by Sam Curran as Kolkata Knight Riders lost their six-wicket in chase of 221. However, a blazing half-century from Pat Cummins gave KKR a chance to chase this down but in the end, the required runs proved to be too many.
In the first innings, CSK openers Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad scored half-centuries to provide the team a blazing start before Varun Chakravarthy provided a breakthrough. Gaikwad fell for a well-compiled 65 but du Plessis remained unbeaten on 95 to power CSK to a strong total of 220/3. In between, MS Dhoni and Moeen Ali played cameos, scoring 17 off 8 and 25 of 12 each.
KKR bowlers were put under the pump with Pat Cummins conceding 58 off 4 overs and Prasidh Krishna leading 49.
