Rajasthan Royals registered the second victory of the Indian Premier League 2021 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Chris Morris and Sanju Samson balanced the scores and efforts made the victory possible at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.
Chasing a target of 134, the Royals witnessed a bad start with both the openers were dismissed in the span of five overs with just 40 runs. Later on, Sanju Samson and Chris Morris efforts made it possible for Rajasthan Royals to reach the line.
Dube was looking settled at 22, was removed by Varun Chakravarthy which provided an advantage to KKR. Soon after, pacer Prasidh Krishna joined the bowler and sent back Rahul Tewatia to reduce RR’s scores to 100/4 in 13th over.
However, Samson held his end alive and kept the scores running. He and David Miller made a partnership to get over the team to the finish. Earlier in the match, Chris Morris displayed his outstanding bowling scores and never allowed KKR to settle in the field. He picked up four wickets in his four overs and destroyed KKR batters.

Well done @rajasthanroyals for winning this game convincingly. Bowling was top notch from Morris and Chetan. Kkr needs to regroup quickly before it’s too late. They have a better team on paper.

Very good knock Samson! Played the situation perfectly and took his side home. A vital win for them.
Kolkata can keep bragging about the brand of game without playing anywhere close to it.
