AC Milan’s New Signings Shine in 2-0 Victory Over Bologna

1 Min Read

AC Milan’s recent acquisitions, Tijjani Reijnders and Christian Pulisic, made an immediate impact by contributing significantly to the team’s 2-0 victory over Bologna in their opening match of the 2023/24 Serie A season.

Despite parting ways with key player Sandro Tonali, who moved to Newcastle United during the summer transfer window, AC Milan embraced change and invested substantially in new talents. The team’s starting lineup for the season opener included Reijnders, Pulisic, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

AC Milan wasted no time in establishing their dominance on the field. Within just 11 minutes of the match, a well-executed cross delivered by Pulisic found Reijnders, who set up Olivier Giroud with precision from the by-line, resulting in a seamless finish and an early lead, as reported by Xinhua.

The lead was further extended a mere 10 minutes later, as Pulisic and Giroud showcased excellent teamwork. Giroud’s well-timed pass allowed Pulisic to unleash a powerful shot, securing the victory for AC Milan.

In other fixtures, the newly-promoted Cagliari played to a goalless draw against Torino.
