The Houston Texans are one of the American Football Conference South Division of the National Football League (NFL) teams. They entered the National Football League in 1999, making them the league’s most recent addition to the league. Before moving to Nashville and being rebranded as the Tennessee Titans, Houston was home to a professional football team known as the Houston Oilers. This team competed from 1960 to 1996 before being sold to Nashville. In 2002, the National Football League welcomed an expansion franchise in the form of the Houston Texans.

On January 27, 2021, the Texans named David Culley, their new head coach. Deshaun Watson, the team’s starting quarterback, was traded to the Cleveland Browns on March 20, 2022.
