Gujarat Giants, the franchise in the Ultimate Kho-Kho League, has unveiled its leadership duo for the upcoming second season. Akshay Bhangre has been appointed as the captain, marking his debut in the Ultimate Kho-Kho League. Joining him is Patta Narsayya, who will take on the role of vice-captain for the season.
Akshay Bhangre, a seasoned defender with a rich history in Kho-Kho, expressed his honor at being entrusted with the captaincy for the Giants. Having represented Maharashtra at both senior and junior levels, Akshay brings a wealth of experience to the team. He previously captained the Maharashtra senior team and the Indian Kho Kho team.
In his statement, Akshay shared, “It is my first season in the Ultimate Kho Kho League, and I am honored that Gujarat Giants have trusted me with captaincy. The Giants are a very strong franchise, and I promise to do my best to lead the team to glory. We will try to do our very best every day.”
Patta Narsayya, an accomplished attacker known for his flair, has been named vice-captain for the Gujarat Giants. This will be Patta’s second season in the Ultimate Kho-Kho League. He has captained his state team and represented India in a Test series against Nepal.

Sanjeev Sharma, the Head Coach of Gujarat Giants, expressed confidence in the leadership duo, stating, “The Gujarat Giants have assembled a well-balanced squad. Akshay Bhangre and Patta Narsayya are good leaders, and I am confident they will ensure we put our best foot forward.”
Sanjay Adesara, Chief Brand Officer (CBO) at Adani Sportsline, emphasized the investment in Kho Kho, aiming to elevate the sport’s profile and support indigenous sports to prosper. He stated, “Kho Kho is a big part of Indian history, and we want to see it get elevated to being one of the most followed in the country. We have invested in Kho Kho with the Gujarat Giants, and believe this is one way of ensuring the sport’s profile is elevated. At Adani Sportsline, we are keen to ensure that indigenous sports have effective support to prosper.”
As Gujarat Giants gear up for the second season of the Ultimate Kho-Kho League, the leadership duo of Akshay Bhangre and Patta Narsayya aims to lead the team to success with a well-balanced and competitive squad.
