Anthony Martial set to miss the opening game due to injury

Manchester United’s striker Anthony Martial is set to miss the English Premier League opening game due to injury. According to Manchester United’s reliable journalist named Samuel Lukhurst, Anthony Martial has picked up a hamstring injury and thus will be missing United’s first game against Brighton FC which is scheduled to be played on Sunday, 7th August.

Manchester United’s forward Anthony Martial went to the pre-season tour with the squad and was exceptional in this tour. Anthony Martial scored three goals in this tour and was one of the best players of United in the pre-season. Anthony Martial will miss the first game of Manchester United and it will be a matter of concern for the new manager Erik ten Hag as the club are short of forward players.

Another Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has played just a single game in this pre-season and thus, earlier Erik ten Hag was planning to bench him for the first game against Brighton, but now it seems Ronaldo will start as there are not much options available in that position for the manager to choose. The comeback of Martial from his hamstring injury is still unclear but he may be playing against Brentford FC on August 13.
