Could Arsenal be about to poach one of Chelsea’s brightest attacking talents?
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have held a fresh round of talks for Noni Madueke, with the Chelsea winger reportedly open to the switch across London. No official club-to-club bids have gone in just yet, but the conversation is alive and that’s enough to set tongues wagging in the summer transfer scene.
A New Right-Wing Rival for Saka?
The Gunners are clearly in the market for reinforcements in the forward line this window. And while many assumed they’d go all-in for a left winger or a centre-forward, Madueke, a naturally right-sided attacker, is very much on the radar.
In theory, he’d come in as backup and competition for Bukayo Saka, who’s been undroppable for Mikel Arteta. But let’s be real, finding someone who can push Saka without rocking the boat is no small task.

That last line is key, this is its own track, separate from other targets, meaning Arsenal could very well be casting a wide net in attack. Think rotation. Think of multiple competitions. Think of depth like City.
Madueke’s Chelsea Chapter
To his credit, Madueke played a big part in Chelsea’s Europa Conference League triumph last season and was a valuable contributor in their late charge to qualify for the Champions League. At just 23 years old, he’s still got time to grow but his next move will be all about game time.
And that’s where it gets tricky.
Would he get enough of it at Arsenal with Saka as the clear first choice on the right? That’s the million-pound question. If he backs himself to break in and Arteta promises him a proper role, it might just happen. But convincing Chelsea to sell to a top-four rival won’t be easy.
This one’s heating up, but it’s not boiling yet. Arsenal have made their interest clear, now it’s down to whether Chelsea bite, and whether Madueke wants to swap blue for red.
