Arsenal in talks with Ajax over a deal for Lisandro Martinez

Arsenal are interested in signing a new centre-back this summer and see Lisandro Martinez as a potential option.

Arsenal FC is interested in signing a new centre-back this summer. They are looking at Ajax’s central defender named Lisandro Martinez as a potential option. According to reports from Sky Sports, the Premier League side has also started talks with the Dutch side (Ajax) over a deal for Lisandro.

Ajax defender is a left-footed centre-back who can also play as a left-back. He plays along with Jurrien Timber in Ajax. Both the centre-halves have produced some good numbers and records together. Ajax’s former manager Erik ten Hag made these defenders look like world-class defenders. However, it is reported that not only Arsenal but there are so many clubs interested in the defender. It is likely that Ajax’s central defender (Lisandro Martinez) won’t stay in the club this season and could move to any Premier League side.

Lisandro has also been rumoured to be going to Manchester United as their new manager Erik ten Hag knows the defender very well. But as of now, the deal between Manchester United and Ajax for the Centre-back remains unlikely. Arsenal will push to sign Lisandro as they have made him one of their priority targets (as per David Ornstein).
