Badminton Asia Championships 2025: Host China Ready To Shine; Check Top Players, Prize And Points At Stake

The Badminton Asia Championships returns to Ningbo for the second consecutive year. It will bring together some of the top shuttlers of the world, after a hiatus of a fortnight in on-court action.

The Badminton Asia Championships returns to Ningbo for the second consecutive year. It will bring together some of the top shuttlers of the world, after a hiatus of a fortnight in on-court action. 

This will be the 42nd edition of the Badminton Asia Championships. The tournament is organized by Badminton Asia and hosted by the Chinese Badminton Association.

The continental competition will be held from April 8-13. at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Ningbo, China.

The men’s singles draw will feature the likes of world number one Shi Yuqi, Olympic silver medallist Kunlavut Vitidsarn and 2021 world champion Loh Kean Yew. Seven of the top nine men’s singles players in the world are from Asia and Yuqi is set to lead the home charge. 

Chinese shuttlers will look for an opportunity in the women’s competition amid the absence of world no. 1 An Seyoung of the Republic of Korea. Top seeds Chen Yufei, Wang Zhiyi and Han Yue are the home favourites.
