2025 BWF Sudirman Cup Finals: Format

The 16 competing teams will take part in team matches, with all five rubbers to be played in the group stage featuring four groups of four teams each: mixed doubles, then the two singles rubbers, then the two (same-gender) doubles rubbers, usually in that order.

The top two teams from each group advance to the quarter-finals. In the knockout stages, team matches become a best-of-five affair, with each team match ending once a team wins three points. This might mean the same-gender doubles matches are not played if a team wins 3-0.
