The new edition of the UEFA Champions League 2024-25 will return on September 17. 36 teams will participate in the new format of Europe’s premier club elite competition.
New Clubs in Champions League 2024-25
French club Brest, who have never featured in any European competition before, will make their debut at the Champions League with this edition. They will be facing giants such as Madrid and Barcelona in the group stages.
Spanish football club Girona will make their maiden appearance in Champions League 2024-25 as they will host Liverpool and Arsenal, and visit for encounters with PSG and AC Milan.

The Champions League group stage will run from September to January. For the first time it has been extended beyond Christmas.
