Chelsea planning a double swoop for Sterling & Ake from Manchester City

Chelsea are in pole position to sign English forward Sterling from Manchester City this summer.

Chelsea FC is planning to have a double swoop for Sterling and Nathan Ake from Manchester City this summer. As reported by Fabrizio Romano on Monday night that Chelsea FC is in pole position to sign the English forward Sterling after a new bid is ready from the club.

Sterling is keen on the move (as per Fabrizio Romano). On Tuesday, Fabrizio Romano also reported that along with a new bid for Sterling, Chelsea is planning to have contact with Juventus for their central defender Matthijs de Ligt. But also the Premier League side sees Nathan Ake as another option.

“Not just new bid for Sterling. Chelsea will be in contact again with Juventus this week for Matthijs de Light, but the price tag remains high. Nathan Aké, always high on Tuchel’s list,” tweeted Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday, 28th June.

Manchester City defender Nathan Ake was signed for the club in 2020. Despite signing for the club, Pep Guardiola didn’t use him much and he didn’t get much game time. Thus, it seems that Ake wants this transfer to Chelsea to happen this summer.

It will be interesting to see whether this double swoop will take place between Chelsea and Manchester City.
