IPL 2021: DC’s experiment with Marcus Stoinis to ball initial overs, proves to be fruitful

Delhi Capitals have been recognized for introducing most of the bowlers before the powerplay but the team had different plans today as they handed over the new ball to the Australian all-rounder to Marcus Stoinis who bowled an opening spell with Ravi Ashwin.

The Capitals instead of going with Rabada or Avesh went with their Aussie all-rounder and their move proved to be successful, Stoinis dismissed MI’s most dangerous opener, Quinton De Kock, in the second over of his spell which was the third over of the MI’s innings.

The Aussie bowled a slightly wide ball outside the off-stump with a bit of bounce to which De Kock looked to drive but was caught by the Wicket Keeper and DC skipper Rishabh Pant.

This move has surely put the MI batsman under a lot of pressure at the very beginning of the innings.
