England batter Ben Stokes hit his 100th six in Test cricket against New Zealand and becomes the first English batter to do it.
England Test cricket team skipper Ben Stokes hit his 100th six in Test cricket in an ongoing game between England and New Zealand at Headingley stadium. England and New Zealand are playing against each other in the third and final Test match of the series at Headingley.
New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first. The visitors were bowled out for 329 runs by English bowlers. But the host are not in a good condition as they have lost 6 wicket for just 83 runs and are still trailing by a huge margin in this last Test match. However, England have already won this series after they won the first and second game at Lord’s and Trent Bridge respectively.
In this ongoing game, skipper Ben Stokes came to bat after England lost some early wickets and he made a new record in the Test cricket. Stokes became the only English batter to hit 100 sixes in Test cricket. He hit just a single six in his innings which set a new milestone for him. After hitting his 100th Test six, Ben Stokes was dismissed by Neil Wagner. Skipper of England could only score 18 runs in 13 balls and the team is in a real trouble against New Zealand.
