The three-match ODI series between India and England is going to start on March 23. England has announced the 14-member team for this series. Apart from 14 players, three cricketers have been kept as cover. England star fast bowler Jofra Archer will not be part of the ODI series due to an elbow injury.
England has not even given a place to the legendary players like Joe Root and Chris Woakes in their 14-member team. Under England’s rotation policy, both these players are at rest. Woakes and Root did not get a chance in the five-match T20I series against India.

Not playing Jofra Archer is a big setback for England. Due to the elbow injury, Archer was not part of the second and fourth Test, he has not become a part of the ODI team. Archer, however, played all five ODIs for England with three injections.
Three players join the team as cover because of the Covid-19 virus epidemic, England has kept three players with the team as cover. Jack Ball, Chris Jordan, and David Malan will continue with the team camp. In the event of injury from any of the players of the 14-member team, one of them can be included as a replacement.

All three ODIs between India and England will be played in Pune. The first match will be on 23 March. The second ODI will be played on 26 March and the last match of the series on 28 March. With the last ODI, England’s two-month-long India tour will also come to an end.
