Esports Team of the Year Winner: LOUD (Valorant)

The top teams and individuals from all around the world competed in this year’s VCT. Many spectators saw the spectacular collapse of several of them and other competitors. In the Grand Finals, when the stakes were highest, LOUD prevailed, relegating OpTic Gaming to second place. There were a lot of exciting moments in the final round and a clear victory, so let’s look at them. LOUD defeated OpTic Gaming 1-0 (in overtime) in the Grand Finals of the VCT Champions 2022 Istanbul tournament. After a devastating defeat in the first round, OpTic bounced back forcefully to win the second game by a massive margin of victory. The Brazilian team kept their tenacity and won the third map in overtime. For map four, Haven, LOUD shifted gears and went on the offensive, completely dominating the competition and claiming the Champions title.

In addition to the long list of outstanding accomplishments, the match between LOUD and OpTic Gaming that took place during the VCT 2022 Grand Finals broke the record for the number of people who watched it. Over 1.5 million spectators watched the match across all platforms, and many of those watchers came from Twitch.
